After delivery, post natal pilates classes can be commenced 4 to 6 weeks after the delivery or 8 to 12 weeks after a Ceasarian section. They are an excellent opportunity to spend a little time on yourself and will help you to get back into shape by restoring strength, tone and posture . Here, the pilates repertoire of exercises are aimed at:-
- Correctly rehabilitating abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.
- Improving overall strength and stability.
- Returning posture back to normal.
- Relaxation and stress management.
- Socialising with other mothers.

Both Ante- and Post-natally, the Pilates is designed to help you to:-
- Speed up the recovery time following the delivery especially at restoring abdominal tone and reducing the presence of any stress induced incontinence
- Manage any shoulder, back and neck problems
- Improve your overall fitness levels, via a low-impact routine
- Improve psychological well being by reducing anxiety and depression
- Have a better body image
To apply for either the ante-natal or post-natal class, you need to:
- Contact us! This is a brand new course, and we are going to start on Friday mornings 10.00am.
- Have GP approval
- Complete a health questionnaire
and registration form 
A booking of 4 classes costs £40.00 inc VAT.
The classes run weekly, and the four classes are to be booked in advance over a 10 week period. Maximum class size is 8. All equipment is provided, including take-home exercise sheets.
