DM Pilates is part of DM Physiotherapy, and has been set up specifically to manage the new venture - Pilates Holidays.
Ran by Dani Mosscrop, a trained physio with a very popular pilates studio in Nottingham, We are starting with two separate week-long pilates holidays, in the Greek island of Kefalonia. Staying in a beautiful Venetian villa in Vasilikades, surrounded by rural and mountain views, there will be the opportunity to improve your Pilates with two classes per day.
The holidays are intended to enable you to improve your pilates, whilst also having an enjoyable holiday!

Sports Massage |
Acupuncture |
Dani is also an experienced sports masseur, and has worked with sports teams including three different rugby teams, and has worked in two Sports Injury Clinics.
Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons.
Sports Massage is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help sports people to prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.
To book a sports massage, simply give us a call on 0115 9607310.

Acupuncture is claimed to be an ancient system of healing developed over thousands of years as part of the traditional medicine of China. The aim of the treatment is to restore the balance of the universal energy Qi (pronounced chee) in the body, through the painless application of fine needles into strategic points on the body.
Western Medicine has put a scientific basis behind acupuncture. In Dani's Masters Degree, her dissitation project proved that acupuncture is effective for pain relief for people suffering from jaw pain.
The most difficult part about acupuncture research is the ability to have a "control" group. However Dani used a newly developed needle, which appeared to go into the skin, even though it didn't! Consequently 100% of the people who received this control treatment thought they were receiving real acupuncture - proving once again that there is much more to it than the widely reported "placebo effect"! |
